Get your function off to the best start possible with a professional town cry performed by one of the country’s top town criers. Kevin Griffiths, also known as Stentorian, is one of England’s finest - he is ranked very highly in the World and is renowned for the power of his voice (hence the name Stentorian).
Kevin will travel anywhere in the World to promote your function whatever it may be. Seen several times on television, Kevin is a colourful character and is sure to be heard by all that are gathered around.
As a professional town crier, Kevin has performed many proclamations to promote products, shop/store openings, opening fetes and letting the public know, in his own inimitable way, that something is happening.
Kevin is the official town crier to Skipton and The Yorkshire Dales. He has been a card carrying member of the actors union Equity for more than twenty years and, as such, carries public liabilities insurance covering several millions of pounds worth of indemnity. He can travel anywhere in the world to make anything known to the public by a traditional proclamation. Kevin has been a professional town crier for over twenty years and has carried out proclamations for many blue chip organisations some of whom you can see listed on this site.
Kevin is the holder of many trophies, won in competition against many of the World’s best town criers. If you have anything that needs to be brought to the public’s attention, then Kevin, with his stentorian voice, is the first choice for the task.
Kevin is also the official town crier to the City of Bradford where in his livery he is dressed in a replica of a sixteenth century halberdier (cannon master). The livery is a copy of the uniform worn by the Giant of Stratton, Anthony Payne, who stood seven foot four inches tall and weighed thirty two stone (not quite Kevin's stature) in sixteen hundred and twelve. Anthony is a legend in Cornwall and Kevin chose that livery whilst he was town crier to Bude. On being appointed to the City of Bradford he re dedicated the livery to Bradford. With its scarlet and black colours it stands out well in a crowded market place so that all those gathered can see, as well as hear, him. As mentioned earlier on this site he is a fully paid up member of the actors union Equity and is therefore covered by public liabilities insurance.
